In the essence of Hamilton… Every day they ball like they’re running out of time. The Dubs are non-stop. BUT in the spirit of history, let’s throw it back and check out the Bulls and their historical run in 1996:
QUIPS FOR THIS WEEK
NBA
As we alluded to in the introduction, the Golden State Warriors are chasing and making history. With a win over the San Antonio Spurs (the only visitor win on the Spurs home court this season), the Warriors have tied the Chicago Bulls‘ record at 70-9. With one more win on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies, the record will belong to them.
What to watch this week: Kobe Bryant’s last game with the LA Lakers. Tune in on ESPN2 when they take on the Utah Jazz at 10:30pm… and as you know, anything can happen at the Lakeshow.
What else, what else… oh we know, it’s the last week of the regular season and the playoffs start soon! Get ready.
Golf
Congratulations to Danny Willett, who won the 2016 Masters after Jordan Spieth stumbled down the stretch. Don’t worry too much about Spieth, though, he’s a star and only 22 and will bounce back.
Soccer
Leicester City had a huge weekend – the club qualified for next season’s Champions League football (a major accomplishment for the Cinderella team), and also further cemented their #1 position in the EPL with a 2-0 win over Sunderland. #3 Arsenal drew 3-3 against #6 West Ham United, #4 Manchester City took home a 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion, and #2 Tottenham Hotspur scored a 3-0 win over #5 Manchester United.
Keep an eye out for Tuesday and Wednesday’s Champions League matches to see which teams advance to the semi-finals:
- Real Madrid v. VfL Wolfsburg and Manchester City v. Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday at 2:45pm EST
- Atletico Madrid v. Barcelona and Benfica v. Bayern Munich on Wednesday at 2:45pm EST
